i’m doing a bit housekeeping and decided to merge two of my blogs into one blog that i called jonnasphere. the idea is to blog about what happened in my life and also to give my view on certain aspect of a certain subject.

we're moving

life's not so boring

so... another week of my weird life.

you know life in my uni is not that boring, so this weekend we got a special activity, it's actually a campaign, anti-corruption one called 'sik mok rasuah'. ok SMR is a native sarawak malay word which if i translate it to english it will goes like this 'i don't want corruption' - simple.

there's a lot of activities like aerobic... - what does it have to do with corruption anyway. bla,bla,bla and stuff. we're treated to free caffeine and the best part is i won a goodie bag after answering a simple query from the BPR.

the climax is the closing ceremony, where we cheers to win, fortunately allamanda collegians is absent so it's a losing egg throw for them.

all in all the reason why i join this campaign is to get a stamp which is required for me to stay in my beloved college... but the best part is ... i get to cheer for bunga raya, yeah!!

bayu or...

it's 2nd week in unimas, i guess already lost count of it. so we have this 'senggang' which is compulsory and it's like 'gerko' in your primary school, still don't get it ok, it's like an extra-curricular activities for student.

the dillema is... there's so many club that i wanna join but i don't wanna join like everything like i have all the time in the world.

the first club that i'm interested in is 'de'orator'; it's like a debate club but then my friend told me that i should throw my ass in the same club as his.

so there it goes... he wants me to join BAYU (choir music in the background please, aaa...). This club has a very interesting rep but i don't wannna join a club filled with fab and glam.

so both of us agreed to join this new club under the 'faculty of creative and applied art' called 'kelab apresiasi muzik'. finally we have a club.

[one week have passed...]

the first thing i saw is a poster that said; all the members of kelab apresiasi muzik please gather at 'lantai bayu' (you guessed it, lantai bayu is like the bayu club house).

bad or good, kelab apresiasi muzik is dismantled (sorry can't find the right word). so i have to join bayu... not fair, person like me is destined to be in a glam club...

so here i am in unimas...

it's been awhile since i last posted anything here, my bad. i'm busy with all my assignments and stuff like that.

besides, access to the net is so limited that i have to skip months (3 months to be exact) posting my blog. i love my blog, i like to blog and that's what i'm gonna do until the end of time where internet is no longer the 'in' thing.

back to the scoop, so the first week in unimas is orientation day. i'm in kolej bunga raya which is one of the best college in unimas (two years in a row to win the 'piala malam rumpun budaya' and got a good rep in co-curriculum).

so i was assigned to this group which i called 'sixth sense' (we are group 6 so that name makes sense), everyone say 'yes' so i'm cool with that.

then, we have this 'ldk' stuff in our faculty i bet you don't wanna know bout it.

the best part is we have this competition where we have to dance and cheer to impress the judge, and we win (yay!!!!).

so we have to represent our college, conflicts happened and stuff but we managed to get second place and make the 'bunga rayan' proud (1st place last year 2nd this year, yeah they should be 'proud').

so one week is over, hopefully the next week gon' be good.

P/S: I managed to fill the blue form, where we have to ask for signature from the liaison officer,etc. i give myself a pat on the back.

i was introduced to the still good ol' nokia 7610 as handphone 'daun' cos of it's leaf-like shape.

7610 is nokia's effort to produce a fashionable handphone, until this post is posted nokia 7610 is still a favorite and the still pricey (the cheapest i've seen is about 580++).

so nokia 7610 supernova is like the slimmer sister of nokia 7610, both of them might have the same name but the latter is much2 better in design.

road to unimas; i'm walking away

okay so i'm officially gonna leave sabah for a couple of years (or maybe more...). i'm going to sarawak to continue my study.

i'm gonna miss the house in tenom... tenom is just a small town but we have KFC, 7-Eleven and our own broadway/theater show team called sentara.

hopefully, i'd get a good room-mate this time that won't judge me negatively... i hate that!

i already packed my stuff but i'm not sure that i've packed everything essential, i always forgot to packed like one thing and i'm gonna screwed up.

behind these brown eyes...

i never thought that the color of my eyes is actually brown, the whole time i thought it was black.

i never knew it cos i never look at my eyes, like examining it. i come to know this when i take my travel document from the immigration and they wrote the color of my eyes as brown.

i read this magazine a long time ago and it mentioned that black eyes doesn't exist. then where the hell did those black eyed peas got their name.

this is a new thing that i learned about myself, did you know that?

P/S: just a few hours after posting this, i found out that black eyed peas is actually a type of vegetable that's related to green peas.

i also found out that jay z and i were related cos we have the same eye color. don't believe me? then you have to give 'brown eyes' by destiny's child a listen.

I actually take hair advice from celeb like ms. duff

for the sake of entering UNIMAS i wasted my money for a box of gatsby dye (worth 20.00), special shampoo (actually it's sunsilk but hey sunsilk got ther own TV show!),constant hair treatment, etc.

i have to dye my oh-so-fab reddish brown hair to black... again !

red hair costs me about RM50++

black hair... priceless cos if i don't dye it, I'd die instead.

i've been to; growball cinema hall 8

the hell new hall 8

recently, i went to growball to watch a movie, so when we booked the ticket i was asked to choose my seat.

fyi, i like to sit at the most front and i never had pain in the neck, but when i was gonna chose the seat i was like , 'what the...' cos the arrangement is so different than usualand there were more seats.

a little bit shocked i choose a seat in the middle. so, we went to the movie hall and i'm like ' where the heck is this hall 8'.

there's a signboard that point to hall 8. so downstairs I go and was again, shocked cos the hall is not there, you have to walk like 10 metres to actually see the entrance.

then i know that this hall is a new addition to the already there halls in growball, it actually looks like the stage where gabriella and troy sang the ...soaring...flying... in high school musical but smaller tho.

there's a stage in front of the huge screen. a diamond cut lights were on the floor of the stage, it reminds me of my nokia 7500 prism (yeah...).

as usual the surround system boasted by growball is also featured in hall 8 so i was constantly shake whenever the sound boom the whole place.

whenever you got a chance, check out hall 8 brand new in growball.

smeshian (2002 - 2006 batch), where are they now ?

susah betul mau update knowledge pasal whereabouts kengkawan smesh yang lain, kalau yang satu kolej atau yang selalu jumpa tu tau lah, tapi kalau yang jarang bersua tu macam mana ?

'renjis', an episode with a serious issues

for those who had been living in the cave for the past few months, 'renjis' is a series by 'amc production' broadcasted in astro ria (CH104) starred by elyana, ashraff sinclair, syed ali, sherry ibrahim, ashraf muslim, and liza abdullah.

when i said serious issue, it's not about the triangle love between the characters kirana, dean, and rafik.

for this week's episode (25 june) kirana got a task to handle an interracial marriage between a malay girl and a convert-chinese boy.

the chinese man named joshua ng is a chinese who had converted to muslim but refused to change his name and wear 'baju melayu' for his wedding, for he believed that you're still a true muslim no matter what you're wearing or what your name is.

problem surfaced when dayana's (the bride) father a conventional malay hates joshua's idealism but of course in the end they got married though...

this episode shows naiveness of some people that believed to convert to muslim is to become malay.

then dayana's ex boyfriend a psycho who resent joshua, throw the s-bomb to joshua. he is frustated because a chineseboy being chosen by dayanabut not him.

in the end, everything goes well. butik sri andaman had saved another wedding. at last the wedding become a fusion between chinese and malay. sweet!

p/s: i'm not rying to be offensive here, just saying my thought about this issue.

road to unimas; it sucks...

for your information, i'm going to unimas in sarawak end of this june cos i was offer to take resource biotechnology there.

before that the 'sucks' in the title of my post does not means sucks, actually i have to prepare many stuff to go there which eventually sucks all my energy.

it was tiring cos i have like one week before the registration day...

hopefully before friday i have everything prepared, pheww..

smesh teacher's day '08 a.k.a form 5 2006 reunion

last week (12 june), we were invited to the smesh teacher's day to celebrate well, teachers, workers etc.

day one

before that, i went to the movies and 'the incredible hulk' is premiering. 'is it a good movie?' you asked me, then you have to read my review.

let's move on.

surprisingly not everyone was changing since we met like a year ago. rennie is now a hotelier.

in smesh, everyone was growing up, my juniors is much,much bigger than me. thanks to the new 'dewan makan' they don't have to drink mosquitoes-flavored drinks which i blamed for stunting my growth.

the guys are hairier than before, some are spotted with hair on their once smooth face. some turned out to be the king of p***, some looked fairer than ever, some got lump added to their physique.

we spend the day talking about our outs and bouts, while the girls are watching dvd at their hostel the guys talked about some stuff girls don't have to know. i showed my new talent - lap dance and shuffling.

meanwhile i take the chance to share my knowledge with all of them which i actually regret because now people might think i'm a s** a*****.

we sleep at 3am, due to the poor management we have to sleep packed like tuna in the can. imagine 4 mattresses 12 guys with 3 pillows.

day two

8 am everyone has to be in the school hall for the function to begin. teachers,principal, workers, students and the guys are inside - no sign of the girls.

the event is opened by a french ala cabaret dance by the dancers of smesh.

the girls arrived a few minutes later, claiming their dvd marathon to be the cause of their lateness.

the event is simple, like the one you have when you're celebrating teachers. performances from new teachers and a show by the winner of teacher singing competition by mr.joachim.

the performances by the students catch my interest cos i think it's brilliant and simple.

then the principal (our bonda) give out her farewell speech. tears were spotted.

no food for us, who's fault is that?

we thought we'll be served with some foods but it turned out that we won't be getting free meal, thanks to that particular person we have to pay for our food.

then we met the teachers, unsurprisingly i was forgotten by most of the teachers. norizan sensei and mr. marzuki will always be in my heart.

ashrena, ethel and fazidah showed up as glamorous as they can be. ratna got some dramatic eyes. tatum is as cool as she is.

to wrap up the day we shoot a group picture with bonda.

i've just watched; the incredible hulk

I've watched this summer not so anticipated movie and I'd like to say the plot is simple not as complicated as Ang Lee's version. Edward Norton is not a bad actor and what a nice pair of green eyes he has.

This movie has more action than the previous Hulk movie, except that those action is almost fully computer generated which wouldn't leave that much impression. I don't know why Tim Roth had to be the other Hulk, I mean he's way too old (he's mentioned 40 in the movie)to be the villain, what drives an old soldier to be a dumb Hulk with huge spines and shrinking groin?

Thanks to Mexican-Bargain-Market-Stretchable-Trousers Dr. Bruce Banner don't have to be worried about wardrobe malfunction or exposing his ***** whenever he turns mad and green.

The Incredible Hulk is not so incredible but perfect for fans of this comic character who wants to see action than emotion cos the only emotion you got is angry.

public diary, confessions and thought

i like to blog just about anything, so this is my latest addition to my blogging career which is a diary of my thoughts to be shared with the whole world.
i know that a diary should be a personal thing but why tell it to the whole planet, because when you know that people read your blog it kinda like make you feel good.

mozilla firefox 3; to set a world record

mozilla firefox is a popular web browser, 2nd after IE, this year firefox 3 will be released and the team want to set guiness world record as 'the most downloaded software in 24 hours'.
being a fan of mozilla, i've signed the pledge to support them set the world record. if they do get the record, i'll be the contributor!
firefox 3 has been expected to be improved version of the popular browser, can't wait for the release!

stacy wins akademi fantasia 6

another female contestant become the winner of akademi fantasia 6, last year mila won the title.
stacy who constantly giving out good performances become the winner of af. af cannot be exempted fro controversy, stacy herself was accused to be planted as the winner by astro, but the rumor was denied.

i am one of stacy's fan and i'm glad she won, planted or not. good luck stacy!

david cook wins american idol

david cook, a texan native was announced the latest american idol. he get harsher comments compare to the other david (archuleta). simon cowell thought it doesn't matter whoever wins this time cause both davids showed their determination in this competition. the final result show was a show packed with performances from george michael whom ryan seacrest addressed as GM. the interesting part is the show featured singers that making their comeback. there's also a video of singing jack black, robert downey jr. , and ben stiller.

P/S: i always thought david cook will be the next idol. he's my choice.

stanly 's (af6) mum passed away

weeks before this, af6 exposed the condition of stanly's mum which is critical. stanly was flew to sarawak from peninsular to visit her mom.
in diari akademi fantasia, ramli ms announced to the remaining contestant, that stanly's mum had passed away. the students give their condolences to stanly.
there might be no show-biz activities for stanly in the few upcoming weeks to respect him and his family.
stanly was the 9th student to be eliminated from the show. he was cut just a week before the finale.
i hope stanly will remain strong and happy as he's before.

akademi fantasia 6; stanly swan song

last night, it's all about who's going to the final. apparently, ac mizal's attempt to surprised the audience doesn't really work out.
of course we know nadia was on the bottom last week but this week when toi was announced to be in the final, i all along know that it was stanly who get the boot.

some judge talk slow, some judge talk trash

afdlin shauki was one of the judge on last night concert, he give comments by talking slowly, but ogy was trash talking when she said that stacy's performance has low energy. apparently, she said that nadia's so-so performance was full of energy.

some rock, other just flop

toi proved to the judges that he deserve to be in the final. he has improved a lot as told by judge ning baizura. nubhan give a good performance when he managed to keep it cool regardless of a few vocal slackness. sadly, riz doesn't rock the clock last night.

then there's the duet song performed by the students.i love stanly and toi's effort,it's fun. while, nadia and riz remain uninjectable to me. the most anticipated duet of nubhan and stacy fail to achieved the level rank by ebi and mila last year. stacy took the limelight in that song.

tribute to loloq

faizal, aizat, velvet, and sahri sang a medley song written by loloq as a tribute to the songwriter who passed away early this year.

if there's an elimination last week, nadia will be out. but as i said earlier even in this level stanly failed to impress. i hoped he won't regret his decision to not play the piano. check back for the finale recap.

yes she might be a desperate housewife, not that literal. yes you got it beyonce will be the next cast for the future season of abc's desperate housewives. she will be the new neighbor in wisteria lane. can't wait for that.

fyi it's been a while since black character is in the show. in season 2 we have the applewhite family. hopefully this will boost both the show and beyonce's reputation.

have you ever recieved a text message on your mobile phone that freaks you out, watch the movie 'one missed call' for reference.

recently, people had received weird message from unknown number telling them that something really bad's gonna happen.

i haven't got it yet but my close friend does, it was send by an unknown number which when you try to call all you got is the operator's voice.

it causes havoc at my local town, the message is very creepy even for a sceptic like me, here's a sample of the sms, it's actually written in malay but i translate it to reduce its level of freakiness.

tonight the 666 chips satellite will be launched to space.effective this 11pm, all SIM cards must be removed from your cell phone and must be keep away until morning because tonight 'ANTIKRIS' will launched the chips 666 satellite. it will find its way into your phone. don't accept any sms or call from axis number with the initial 0866 or 0838. when the the caller's number started to turn red the phone must be shut and don't ever accept it or else you'll be doomed. 2 american had died to date.

there's also another similar version of the message typed in capital letters

yes, it's only a week before finale where the davids (archuleta and cook) battle their voice to be the next american idol. my vote goes to david cook but i think this year the younger ones rule but there's only one way to find out, we have to watch the finale next week... but before that here's a quick look at the 10 contestants who didn't make it to the final... in the order of elimination

david hernandez
he completes the david trio, he got the package, i mean he got the voice, the look and the move. unfortunately, he got a reputation as a stripper thus making him the first one to be cut. who wants to idolised a stripper anyway.

amanda overmyer
she's one contestant that i look forward to but again, the controversy that surrounds her which is most of it are negatives pushing her out of the contest. she's also not as versatile as the other hopefuls.

chikezie eze
he actually impressed me in his audition but as the real competition started he started to show weakness in his singing and also in his style (remember the coke inspired red suite he's waring back in the first top12 guys week).

ramiele malubay
she's one of my fave, if i compare her to jasmine triasse i think ramiele is better vocal-wise but wrong choice of songs often make her failed to present. she got a big voice but not very convincing thus she's eliminated when she appeared first time in the bottom two.

michael johns
initially, i thought michael rely a lot on his looks to get votes but i was proved wrong when he sings we are the champion/we will rock you. but this aussie hunks was, i think too old to be an idol (he's going to be as old as ryan seacrest next year).

kristy lee cook
she's one contestant you like to hate besides kady malloy, she's been in the bottom two for a couple and more weeks but managed to survived. she proved to simon that she's unforgettable and even got a chance to say it to simon's face when she's eliminated (who can't forget her when she sings to simon while sitting on the judge's table). kristy lee cook is a stunning tomboy but again being in the bottom two for several times can't guaranteed your future in idol.

i was shocked to see her go home because during that week (the theater week) she managed to get praise from all the judges, she even prepared a shirt to show her gratitude if simon cowell is impressed. then i thought, this happens to other contestant from previous season too, when you already had an album pre-idol voters started to think that you had to give a chance to people that's new to this industry.

brooke white
one of my fave, cos she's down, she's real and stuff. causing controversy when he asks the music director to stopped due to his failure to remember the first couple words of madonna's you must loved me. brooke white is also a common landers in the bottom two so her elimination is just a matter of time, really.

jason castro
everytime he sings i yawned... i don't know why i hate him so much, it's not because of that hair i think. i'm glad syesha survived instead of him, glad he forgot the lyrics...

syesha mercado
she's an actress/singer. she scores great in few songs but also got a few boos and was criticised for not being her in some of her performances.

can't wait for the finale,keep ur finger crossed.

akademi fantasia 6, all wrapped up! (almost)

yes, akademi fantasia has entered its 9th week, hopefully this week we'll see one student (or maybe two...) get the boot after the 8th week concert give all of the 6 remaining contestant a free pass to advance. to celebrate the coming finale, here's a recap on the concert of akademi fantasia from week 1 to week 8.

week 1
too bad, though she is featured in 'diari af' for some technichal problem she made, yana who sings 'diriku tapak sulaiman' by elyana was the first one to be eliminated from af.

week 2
changing song is the decision ika should regret. the song 'malu tapi mahu' is not in her range. saved from last week elimination but unfortunately she became the second girl to leave.

week 3
it's the rock week where the students have to prove that they can handle this genre. most of the students got thumbs down. lufya's singing and disney princess inspired dress fail to save her from being cut. then, naim get the boot as he become the other victim of this double elimination round.

week 4
he's been warned, but faisal impressed ramli ms' by giving a slightly better peformance unfortunately the voters had lost their trust.

week 5
despite of the havoc that surround her as siti nurhaliza's sister,saida's constant non-believeable performance fail to keep her fanbase voting.

week 6
she had strong performances in the previous week. but people thought she's too 'mature' to stay in af. rina who had caused controversies when af 6 had started become the next to go home.

week 7
he's one (and maybe only) of the good looking male contetsant in af 6, he managed to maintain his position on the top during the previous weeks but as he was struggling from a serious injury, fan started to judge him, thus alif became the one that's leaving the large stage of istana budaya.

week 8
it's a week full of drama... nubhan and riz failed to impress but managed to gain votes as they both become the top two. nadia who was i the bottom was saved from elimination when ac announced that the week is a non-elimination week.

this time the teams went to new zealand, bla bla drama, it involves stupid car scratching, some mud moment, breakdown, girl catfights etc.

the important thing is the hong kong all girl team was send home for being late... ha ha ha.

as with the previous elimination, Aurelia & Sophie hit an hours of operation problem. They don’t even get to attempt the first task. Not that getting gas in the car didn’t prove challenging enough for them. Both of them blame each other for the loss.

okay i miss this episode too so i have nothing to say about it. but the filipino hunks arrived first at the pit stop while edwin and monica once again arrived last making them the first team to be eliminated.

Singapore Kick Start The Race

it's the beggining of ARA. i don't watch this episode but the race started in Singapore and ended in Phillipines.
What's more, the have to eat eel in this lag of race.
the first team to arrived is Pam and Van from malaysia (yay!) and the last team to arrive is edwin and monica from hong kong. fortunately it's the first nonelimination round phew !!!

yeah you heard me, this time ARA is back with more sponsor and more 'asian'. yeah it's amazig race asia but most of the contestants... mmmm let me see, they're not asian !

One In A Million 2 Kicks Start Now

Another talent based reality show entering its second season with audition held at KK and KL this season boasts for more talented finalists.
one in a million (oiam) featured judges like syafinaz and paul moss (malaysian idol). hosted by marion and awal, this show boasts uniqueness with its high prize stake including 1 million dollar. anyone can enter this competition as long as you're not tone deaf.
last season, suki brings home the millionaire title. the special thing about this show is that it features established singer (in the 1st season dayang nurfaizah is one of the top 4 finalists).
i just can't wait to see the new hopefuls.

antm 9 the girl who becomes america's next top model

saleisha is the america's next top model

And lo, another season of America"s Next Top Model has come to pass, much in the same vein of seasons past. Yes, it"s formula finale time, as the three remaining contestants struggle their way through a Cover Girl commercial and ad that has something to do with fruit and spritzing and lip gloss. Chantal seems to have her lines down the best, while Jenah struggles and almost needs cue cards. Saleisha also has a hard time nailing her lines, and actually has to take a moment to cry without messing up her eye makeup. Just like Tyra told her to! Imagine that. The first elimination of the episode is super-awkward, as both of the other girls name Jenah as the model with the least potential, and the panel totally makes her cry and elicits some mama issues after she says that the fact that she isn"t spewing rainbows doesn"t mean that she"s not a happy person. She gets eliminated, but wins the real prize of climbing that metaphorical wall and getting to know the self that"s on the other side. Or something like that. Saleisha and Chantal are thus the final two, and have a Seventeen photo shoot before embarking on their final runway challenge. As for the final runway show, Top Model apparently took advantage of the cheap Chinese labor and hired 500 extras to, like, either sit around and pray to the sun or stand around on lead-painted stilts as the girls walk. Sadly, this meant that there was only enough money left over to hire three people to be in the audience. The clothes are truly gorgeous, though. Saleisha Tootie-stomps her way down the catwalk, while Chantal gets tripped up when one of the guys on stilts gets caught on her train and falls down boom. In the end, it is as we all grimly suspected, and Saleisha takes home the crown. We can only hope that she finds as much success as Naima in her burgeoning modeling career.
